We have taken a Renault Megan 2007 and checked what the price of a replacement battery and fitting would cost in our local area.
Using the vehicle Reg number we priced up a replacement Battery at a large car parts / accessories superstore and a large trade car parts supplier.
The superstore only listed a 5year guarantee Branded battery at a whooping £120 with a £15 pound fitting charge.
We did a manual search and found they listed a home brand 3year guarantee battery at £92 again with a £15 pound fitting charge.
At the large trade outlet they listed a home Brand 3year guarantee battery at a £90.99. They don’t offer fitting so this would have to be carried out by a local garage, we was quoted £20 – 30 for this.
They did have a Branded 3year guarantee battery at a Massive £136.99. Again they don’t offer fitting so this would have to be carried out by a local garage, we was quoted £20 – 30 for this.
The same vehicle at Transpares for a Lucas branded 3year guarantee battery would be £89.99 FITTED FREE.
